Job Description

Kable Staffing is in urgent need of a Stock Room Clerk in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity.  
 
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive, count, inventory and organize parts: 
    • Performs cycle counts to maintain adequate and accurate inventory
    • Keeps parts room clean and organized
    • Prepares customs paperwork
    • Signs for incoming shipments as required
    • Runs backorder reports in computer system
    • Makes requests for inventory adjustments
    • Stocks incoming parts in appropriate locations
    • Stores purchased parts in storeroom bins and issues parts to workers upon request
    • Assists in physical inventory count as required
    • Notifies Buyer in a timely manner of any deficiencies concerning receipts of goods or quality of goods. 
  • Pick, Package, Label and Ship after-market parts using UPS, FedEx, or other systems
    • Obtains shop ticket form and pulls applicable parts
    • Obtains order entries and pulls applicable parts
    • Packages parts to be shipped and affixes address labels to packages
    • Uses computer system to ship parts
    • Prints shipping labels and affixes to packages
    • Compares receivers against purchase orders and verifies quality and quantity of merchandise received
    • Receives parts in computer system software. 
  • Coordinate the assignments and tasks of the Stock Room Assistant
    • Ensure work is optimized with the needs of all areas in which the Stock Room Assistant works
    • To include the assisting with cycle counting and reporting inventory discrepancies
    • Ensure the Stock Room Assistant is involved with 5S activities and effective housekeeping. 
  • Assists Manufacturing Material Handler when needed
    • Signs for incoming shipments as required
    • Stocks incoming parts in appropriate locations
    • Stores purchased parts in storeroom bins and issues parts to workers upon request
    • Assists in physical inventory count as required. e. Assists in loading and unloading trucks in receiving and shipping. 
  • Assists Crater/Packer, assigned
    • Assists in loading and unloading trucks in receiving and shipping
    • Performs all Crater/Packer duties, as needed. 
  • Assists Logistics Coordinator, as assigned
    • Assists in scheduling trucks for shipping
    • Coordinates timing with inside sales and customers. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
    • Performs occasional light assembly work using hand tools
    • Efficient in recognizing problems and creative in resolving problems
    • Operates forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage or work area
    • Organizes returned warranty parts.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of metric system
  • Ability to measure using calipers.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently without supervision 
  • Must be able to take initiative and ask questions of appropriate personnel when necessary
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment 
  • Must be willing to work occasional overtime when necessary.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
